PersonalASP 2.0 Overview

ASP applications on your Windows PC

PersonalASP takes standard HTML and ASP applications and runs them on your Windows PC. These applications are viewed through Internet Explorer with no need for special configuration or plug-ins.

A fast route to interactive CD content

With PersonalASP, HTML content on CD media can come alive with ASP scripting. Store user preferences in cookies and application data in the Session object, or access database content via ADO.

Secure applications

PersonalASP achieves all this without the need for a web server on your PC. No ports are opened to allow connection from external sources, leaving the data on your PC secure from outside attack.

Both VBScript and JScript

With PersonalASP, you may choose to write in either VBScript or JScript, leveraging existing web programming skills.

Extensive object support

Emulation of ASP's built in Request, Response, Server and Session objects allows standard ASP pages to be transferred to PersonalASP with the minimum of changes. Additional objects may be integrated in to your application through the use of Server.CreateObject. Some of the many functions available to include are,

• Access to the file system

Developer support
